How To Play A Warlock In A Raiding Event
I. What is the strengths of my class in PVE.
The warlock class is a basic Damage over Time Class.
Most warlock do not know that 50% of our damage on boss fights is our damage over times. Warlocks have 3 dots that you do not need to specialize into. Warlocks gain a 4th which is Siphon Life once you specialize into it via the Affliction tree.

Head: Spellweaver's Turban - Drop off General Drakkisath in UBRS
Neck: Orb of the Darkmoon - 1200 Tickets - Orb of the Darkmoon quest. Attainable at the Darkmoon fair.
Shoulder: Burial Shawl - Drops of 6 bosses in Scholomance - Doctor Theolen Krastinov, Instructor Malicia,Lady Illucia Barov, Lord Alexei Barov, Lorekeeper Polkelt The Ravenian
Cape: Crystalline Threaded Cape - drops off Chillwind Ravager in winter spring.
Robe: Robe of the Void - Created with tailoring, Pattern drops off Darkmaster Gandling in Scholo.
Bracers: Rockfury Bracers - Stalwart's Battlegear quest, Must be Revered reputation with Cenarion Circle.

Ring 1: Songstone of Ironforge- Quest Reward from: The Princess's Surprise- Chain Quest started by the Ironforge king, Need to go to BRD for this quest.

Trinket 1:Royal Seal of Eldre'Thalas - Diremaul Quest from the item “Hardnessing Shadows”. You can check the AH for the book.

Staff: Rod of the Ogre Magi - Dropped By: King Gordok in DM North Tribute.
III. What Spells Do I use?
Generally Warlocks are assigned a curse and Could be Curse of Shadow, Curse of Elements, Curse of Recklessness or Curse of Agony. If you are assigned a Curse always use it. If you have a question about Curses ask your warlock class leader (Generally most raids have class leaders).
The next dot you should add is Corruption. This is one of the most powerful dots we have due to it can Proc Nightfall which is a talent in affliction that gives warlocks a free shadow bolt with no casting time.
The third dot you should use is Siphon Life. This dot heals you ever 3 seconds for X amount.
Now on to our hard hitting spell. The Shadowbolt. Shadowbolt is a 3 Second cast without talents and a 2.5 second cast with the talent bane. This is your main hitting spell warlocks have for raiding. When it crits it causes huge amounts of damage if you have the 21 point talent Ruin and cause huge amounts of agro.
Basically you first put up your curse then corruption then wait till your raid leader says go or dps go and start nuking him with shadow bolts. If you crit wait a second before re doing shadow bolts. Every time I use shadow bolt I tend to always do a corruption next so I know my corruption is always up there, agony also if I am on agony curse.

IV. What Spec Should I be for Raiding?
Generally the standard Shadow mastery/ Ruin spec is the max dps specialize you can get while raiding.
This spec is: here. This in my own opinion is the best raiding spec out there for warlocks. Others may argue differently.

V. Who do I give Healthstones to?
Generally I give Healthstones to who ever asks for them. Most of the time it is tanks and melee.

A. How many shards do I bring to a raid?
I generally bring about 40-50 shards to a raid, It's very easy to collect shards fast if you know where to go. The best place to get soul shards is burning steppes where the imps are. They have 1k hp and die fast and there is always 5-10 of them there.

VI. What pet should I use?
If you are in the main tank / off tank groups always have an Imp out. The health they get from blood pact makes a huge difference while tanking.
If you are not in a tanking group use what ever pet you feel is useful.

VII. I keep pulling agro.

Agro is a big problem for warlocks. I found out waiting a few seconds after a shadow bolt crit you wait a second or two then continue dpsing.
You may also get Blessing of protection to drop your agro, or other nifty trinkets like a Fetish of the Sand Reaver that gives you less threat.
KTM is also a great mod to show you if your about to pull agro.
