Draenei Guide
History

25,000 years ago a faction of Eredar fled their home world Argus, they called themselves the Draenei (meaning the Exiled ones). They fled their home in a dimensional ship and soon landed on a world they would called Draenor. While on this world they became close and peaceful friends with the Orcs, engaging in a lot of trading with them.

However, Kil’jaeden, the leader of the demonic Eredar came to discover the new world and the Orcs and found that the Orcs were very easy to sway and manipulate. Kil’jaeden was able to convince the Orcs to exterminate the Draenei completely.

Soon after the Dark Portal was destroyed and Draenor was left in pieces as it collapsed upon itself and left pieces of a broken floating planet pieces called the Twisting Nether. Some inhabitable places were still existed, such as what is called the Outland. Some Draenei were altered because of this destruction, they became corrupted and fled to the Swam of Sorrows where the are called The Lost Ones.

Some Draenei remained untainted though, and it’s these Draenei who crash land on Azeroth.

Characteristics

Draenei have a variety of skin tones from ivory, aqua blue, dark blue, purple, and ebony. The males have tendrils that come out of their chins and have a fan-like forehead plate with other plates behind it. The males also have large muscular tails. The female Draenei do not have plates on their foreheads, but instead have horn like cranial extensions. Their tendrils spout from behind their ears and they have much smaller and not so muscular tails.

Lifestyle

Their capital city was built from the wreckage of their crashed ship. Draenei are known to be quite technological advanced and are good with working with jewels. Draenei also have a strong reverence for the light and are great for healing classes such as a Paladin or Priest.

Technology

The Draenei are quite technological advanced. Their strong point is in jewel crafting and crystals.

The Art of War

The Draenei have reverence in the light and make great companions for parties seeking a healer. They are quite strong against shadow creatures and magic. Draenei have an innate ability to heal themselves or others, they also have an innate ability to raise the morale of their party members seemingly giving them a better chance for their strikes to hit true.
